The 26th International Conference-School “Modern Materials and Technologies” took place from August 22 to 26, 2024, in the city of Palanga, Lithuania. This event, dedicated to young scientists, doctoral candidates, and students, attracted 136 participants from various academic and research institutions.
The conference was organised by co-organised by institutions including Kaunas University of Technology, Association of Lithuanian Materials Researchers, Vilnius University, the Center for Physical and Technological Sciences, the Research Institute for Prospective Technologies, the University of Southern Denmark, Riga Technical University, the University of Latvia, and the University of Tartu. Their collective efforts ensured a comprehensive program fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration. During the conference, young researchers not only enhanced their competencies but also engaged in discussions on solving scientific problems, exploring cooperation opportunities, and developing strategies for commercialisation. The event provided a platform for scientist visits, internships, and the preparation of joint project applications, fostering collaboration and innovation.
During the event BIO4EEB poster was presented. Our partner PROTECH had a discussion about the project idea and its results with the participants of the event. Besides, information about the project was also presented in the book of abstracts.
